Oct. 29

Theft: A Boardman woman reported the theft of her daughter’s $800 clarinet at Boardman Center Middle School, 7410 Market St.

Theft: A Poland man reported that while his car was parked in the 1400 block of Boardman-Poland Road, a satellite radio and global positioning system device were taken. The vehicle’s window was broken.

Theft: A vehicle’s temporary license plate was stolen in the 1100 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

Drugs/weapon: After pulling over a vehicle on Market Street, authorities charged a Youngstown man, 18, with two counts of possession of dangerous drugs and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon, drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. Found was less than an ounce of suspected marijuana, a loaded .380-caliber pistol with six rounds and a scale with suspected marijuana residue, the report said.

Criminal mischief: Paint balls were shot at a Paxton Road house.

Theft: A $250 in-dash stereo and a compact-disc case with about 15 CDs were stolen from a car parked at the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A worker for Papa John’s Pizza, 1307 Boardman-Poland Road, noticed three bank deposits containing undisclosed amounts of money had never been deposited.

Aggravated menacing: An employee at a Market Street store told police an agitated man had a switchblade knife and on two occasions made threatening comments to customers.

Aggravated menacing: A Boardman-Poland Road restaurant worker reported getting a phone call in which her life was threatened.

Criminal damaging: A tail light on a car parked on North Cadillac Drive was broken.

Assault: A 23-year-old Boardman woman was arrested on an assault charge.

Domestic violence: A Boardman woman, 51, was charged after her boyfriend alleged she punched him and threw a glass, striking him in the head during an argument about missing money. The man was bleeding and complained of pain in his right shoulder.

Theft: A Campbell boy, 16, was charged in the theft of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: Eight political signs were stolen from a yard in the 1300 block of Meadowood Circle.

Theft: A man reported that $290 was stolen from a room at a Tiffany Boulevard motel.

Drugs: A 31-year-old Boardman woman faced a felony count of possession of drugs as police responded to a disabled vehicle near Shields Road. A search of her car revealed a controlled substance on the floor, the report showed.

Theft: A man reported $1,500 worth of hand tools and accessories missing from his van.

Criminal damaging: A Glendale Avenue man reported several eggs had been tossed at his home.

Assault: A Boardman boy, 15, faced charges of assault and being an unruly juvenile after a student at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave., reported having been punched and pushed into a desk during a fight. A teacher who tried to intervene said she was knocked to the ground.

Theft: Officers charged a man with receiving stolen property after a $30 prime rib was stolen from Kaleel Bros. Inc., 761 Bev Road.

Misuse of a credit card: A township man verified online a deposit and also found eight unauthorized transactions totaling $131 had been made.

Assault: A Mathews Road man told authorities that as he arrived home, two people beat him.

Theft: An 18-year-old Youngstown man was charged in the theft of three CDs from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.

Domestic violence: A Boardman man, 60, was taken into custody at his residence and charged. A woman alleged her brother pushed her to the ground during an argument at the home.

Theft: A Rush Circle man discovered a $100 bed liner had been removed from his truck.

Oct. 31

Assault: A Boardman boy walking home near Hopkins Road reported being pushed down and having his Halloween candy stolen.

Theft: An East Liverpool man accused his former girlfriend of taking his $500 TV.

Theft: A Girard woman discovered $675 missing from her wallet while at a Boardman-Poland Road store.

Theft: A woman stole a $20 pair of children’s shoes from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: A Crestline Place man reported the theft of a $100 GPS.

Nov. 1

Arrest: Police responded to a fight at a Canterbury Lane home and arrested a Struthers man, 18, on charges of disorderly conduct and underage consumption of an alcoholic beverage after saying he yelled profanities and refused to desist.

Domestic violence: A 20-year-old Boardman man was charged after his mother alleged the man threw her against a wall as she confronted him about loud music.

Theft: A Paxton Road woman accused her former boyfriend of taking 15 Percocet pills from her.

Drugs: A traffic stop near Overhill Road led to the arrest of a 30-year-old Youngstown man on a felony charge of possession of cocaine.

Nov. 2

Criminal damaging: A Crystal Drive woman found her landscaping light post had been knocked over, resulting in damage estimated at $350.

Burglary: A Hillman Way woman reported a break-in as well as a mountain bike missing.

Arrest/citation: A Boardman man, 23, was charged with obstructing official business after being stopped on Glenwood Avenue, when police said he refused to comply. Also, a 25-year-old Boardman woman was cited on a disorderly-conduct charge when, officers said, she yelled profanities and interfered with the arrest.

Robbery: A Struthers man, 25, faced a robbery charge after authorities received a report that someone had stolen women’s undergarments from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive. The man tried to use his elbow to strike a worker who attempted to detain him, the report said.
