Youngstown school levy headed to a win

YOUNGSTOWN — With a large majority of the city's votes counted, it appears the 9.5-mill Youngstown school levy will pass.

The Mahoning County Board of Elections has counted all absentee ballots and electronic voting machine ballots in all but eight of the city's precincts.

With about a couple thousand votes yet to be counted, the levy has the approval of 54.5 percent of the voters, a lead of about 2,300 votes.
