Lawrence County Obama supporters ready to celebrate

In Lawrence County, Obama supporters weren’t waiting to have their victory celebration.

The polls, which closed at 8 p.m., had barely gone dark when Dick Craig, treasurer for Progressive Democrats and an Obama campaigner, appeared ready to put on his party hat.

“He got Vermont, New Hampshire, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania,” the jubilant Craig recited.

“If McCain loses Virginia, North Carolina, or Ohio or Florida, he’s done.”

Craig had about 10 people with him at the Teamsters hall in Neshannock Township, and they were headed to the Parkstown Lounge on U.S. Route 224 in Union Township for what they are hoping will certainly be a victory party.
