Tuesday's Best Bets on TV

Election night coverage (various networks): Of all the election-night coverage out there, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert may be providing the most entertainment.

The two media-lampooning stars are headlining “Indecision 2008: America’s Choice” (live at 10 p.m., Comedy Central). The special will bring viewers coverage of the election, with reports and analyses from the field and candidate headquarters.

And, more likely than not, it will have the spicy style of coverage that “The Daily Show” is known for.

Though the coverage will have a point of view, it will also contain nuggets of unbiased information to keep viewers informed on what’s happening.

Also on hand for the evening will be the usual array of correspondents, such as Samantha Bee, Wyatt Cenac, Jason Jones, Aasif Mandvi, John Oliver, Rob Riggle and Larry Wilmore.

Seekers of more serious information may want to try elsewhere, though. The choices will be plentiful.

To name some examples:

BBC America’s coverage launches at 6 p.m., with a decidedly international angle to the proceedings.

ABC, CBS and NBC will have up-to-date news beginning at 7 p.m. Fox will join the fray at 8 p.m.

PBS will offer “Newshour Election Night coverage” starting at 9 p.m.

CNN, Fox News and MSNBC will have around-the-clock reports.

Even nontraditional outlets such as BET will present news and analyses starting at 8 p.m.

“90210” (8 p.m., The CW): On a new episode of “90210,” Annie and Dixon have divergent reactions when Harry reveals to them that he has a son who was put up for adoption 22 years ago. Dixon seems cool with it, but his sister lets loose at a sleepover that quickly turns into a drunken debacle.
