Boardman police and fire officials optimistic

BOARDMAN — An air of cautious optimism permeates Boardman police and fire levy headquarters.

Off-duty firefighters are traveling from precinct to precinct, calling in vote totals from each polling place.

“So far, in case anyone isn’t doing the math, it’s passing,” said Harry Wolfe, firefighters’ union president said of the township safety issue.
