November 2, 1933: Clyde Osborne, an advocate for repeal of Youngstown’s charter, and Martin Dunn, a real estate agent, clash after a debate between Osborne and Atty. J.P. Wilson in Plymouth Congregational Church. The confrontation between Osborne and Dunn begins in an exchange of profanity and nearly ends in blows .

Miss Ohio, Corrine Porter of Youngstown, announces her engagement of three months standing to Dale James, a 25-year-old Chicago hotel clerk. They will be married in Chicago and will live there.
