MERCER COUNTY Sentencings
These people were sentenced last week in Mercer County Common Pleas Court, according to court documents:
Daniel Gardlock, 21, sentenced to six to 18 months in the Mercer County Jail followed by one year’s probation for conspiracy to commit robbery, a felony. On Feb. 24, 2007, he and three other men showed a gun and demanded money from a cashier at the Sharpsville Food Mart, 707 W. Ridge Ave., Sharpsville.
Raymond Napolitan, 46, formerly of Farrell, sentenced to 5 1‚Ñ2 to 11 years in prison for felony sexual assault, and recklessly endangering another person and simple assault, both misdemeanors. He also was fined $225 for reckless driving and a stop-sign violation. Napolitan placed a loaded gun to the back of a woman’s head while engaging in sexual intercourse with her at a Farrell address in June 2007. On Sept. 22, 2007, he recklessly pursued a woman in his motor vehicle, speeding and running stop signs in Sharon.
Dustin Richards, 19, of Columbia Avenue, Greenville, sentenced to nine to 23 months in jail followed by 18 months’ probation for aggravated indecent assault, a felony. On March 12 this year he engaged in sexual contact with a 14-year-old at a Greenville address.
Scott Swiecicki, 29, of Greentree Circle, New Castle, resentenced for access device fraud, a misdemeanor. He violated the 18-month probation imposed Feb. 8, by being convicted of new criminal charge. A judge resentenced him to 171 days to 23 months in jail, then gave him credit for 171 days already served and placed him on parole. He was convicted for using another person’s credit cards without authorization in February 2007.
John Yoho, 36, of Orangeville Road, Sharpsville, placed on one-year probation for open lewdness, a misdemeanor. In July or August 2006, he kissed a 14-year-old girl and rubbed her thighs at a Greenville address.
Javon York, 24, of Swallow Street, Warren, resentenced to three to six months in jail for carrying a loaded weapon without a license, a felony. He was sentenced in 2006 to a jail term followed by probation. His probation was revoked when he recently pleaded guilty to new criminal charges. On Aug. 14, 2004, he had a loaded semiautomatic pistol at Roemer’s Bar, 204 Roemer Blvd., Farrell.
Donald Perrine, 20, of South Center Street, Grove City, sentenced to six to 12 months in jail followed by two years’ probation for felony conspiracy to commit burglary and misdemeanor simple assault. In October 2007, he conspired with two other men to burglarize a South Broad Street, Grove City, residence. They stole a python, a sword and scabbard, three knives and a digital camera, the goods worth a total $275. Then on Jan. 22 this year, while an inmate at the Mercer County Jail, Perrine grabbed a correction officer’s arm after the officer freed himself from another inmate in the cell.
Randy Guthrie, 19, of George Street Extension, Hermitage, sentenced to two years’ probation and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service for felony burglary. On Dec. 10, 2007, he entered a woman’s residence on George Street Extension, taking a PlayStation III, three game controllers and six games valued at $900.
Michelle Shaffer, 45, of Columbia Avenue, Greenville, sentenced to one to three years in prison and ordered to make restitution for misdemeanor forgery. In September and October 2006, she forged signatures on 14 checks and passed them at Greenville Savings Bank, 550 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage.
Steven Sagenich, 32, of Market Street, Mercer, placed on two years’ probation for two counts of disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. On March 16 this year, he forcibly directed another man out of the side entrance of Jacks R Wild, 7253 Market St., Jefferson Township, and led him to a wooded area until he escaped. He then followed him to the man’s residence where he threatened to beat and kill him and another man.
Anthony Kitt, 43, of Wallis Avenue, Farrell, placed on two years’ probation and ordered to make restitution for misdemeanor retail theft. On Oct. 2, 2007, he stole a $26 bottle of cologne from TJ Maxx, 2465 E. State St., Hermitage.
Jason Greggs, 30, of Woodside Drive, Grove City, sentenced to two to four years in prison followed by five years’ probation for delivery of cocaine and conspiracy to deliver cocaine for delivery of 4.2 grams of cocaine April 29, 2007, at his residence.
Shawn Starkey, 27, of Erie Street, Sharon, placed on two years’ probation and ordered to make restitution for possessing marijuana with intent to deliver, a felony. He was apprehended June 2, 2007, on North Stateline Road, Sharon, with marijuana.
