• BOARDMAN — United in marriage during a traditional Scottish wedding on July 12 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park were Lori Beckett and Jason Scott, both of 2929 N. Redgate Lane, Youngstown.
The Rev. David Rose officiated at the 10 a.m. ceremony, and a reception followed at St. George Croatian Center.
The bride is a daughter of Pat Conway of Youngstown and the late Hilbert Taylor, and the groom’s parents are Robert and Lori Scott, 4151 Westmont Drive, Austintown.
Escorted by her son, Shawn Beckett, the bride wore a strapless champagne gown enhanced with pearls and crystals.
Clover-green dresses were worn by Caryn Beckett of Youngstown, the bride’s daughter and honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Shana Wellman of Austintown, a cousin of the groom; Rebecca Schaffer of Columbiana, the bride’s niece; and Amber Murphy of Austintown. Flower girl was Arianna Gregorino of Austintown, a cousin of the groom.
Best man was Michael Murphy of Austintown, the groom’s cousin, and groomsmen were Duane Wellman and Craig Treharne, both of Austintown, and Jeff Stewart of Youngstown. Ring bearer was D.J. Dodds of Austintown, a cousin of the groom.
Stephan Holter played the bagpipes during the entrance of the bridal party.
Mrs. Scott is an assistant manager at the R.E. Michel Co. in Youngstown. Mr. Scott is a welder with Astralloy Steel Products in Masury.
