A passion for pumpkins
Everybody knows how cool pumpkins are, including the youngsters.
It seems everybody loves orange, at least when it comes to pumpkins.
From decorating the family dog to offering a place for a nap, pumpkins as a theme seem to dominate the area this time of year.
We know we’ll see more of them in the form of pumpkin pies and various Thanksgiving treats, but that’s OK, too. In the meantime, we’ll carve holes in them and put them on our heads, put babies in them and generally have our fun with the festive gourds.
Some families have traditions based on going out and searching for the perfect pumpkin for each child. Others love them for outdoor decorations.
But whatever your choice, it’s clear the Valley has a passion for pumpkins.
Next month
One thing has been clear during the past year: People love taking pictures of their kids, friends and relatives.
This month, we want to tap into that. The theme is “Togetherness.”
Send us your cutest shots of the kids at play, grandma or grandpa with the kids or maybe a shot of grandpa and grandma smooching.
Whenever you see one of those “awwwww” moments, just grab the camera and catch it.
Things don’t have to be too too much, either. Teammates exchanging high-fives or even an argument between siblings is perfect for this.
Relationships mean a lot to people everywhere, but nowhere more than this slice of Ohio. Show us some of your favorite moments.
As always, e-mail us large jpegs. A megabyte or more is best (larger if it’s another file type).
