LAKE MILTON — Craig Beach Volunteer Fire Department, a nonprofit, private, all-volunteer department, is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner Sunday at the fire hall, 1797 Grandview Road. Meals will be available from noon to 5 p.m. and will include meatballs, salad, bread, beverage, and dessert. The cost is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children under 12.
In conjunction with the event, there will be a Chinese auction and a bake sale.
HMHP will host Red Dress event
YOUNGSTOWN — Humility of Mary Health Partners, HMHP, will host the 6th annual Red Dress event from 1-4 p.m. Nov. 16 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman.
Through this event and others throughout the year, HMHP works to raise awareness of the dangers of heart disease for women. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States.
This year’s physician guest speaker is Barbara M. Modic, M.D. Dr. Modic will discuss how to partner with your physician to identify your risks for stroke and heart disease.
The program also includes a fall fashion show compliments of the Eastwood Mall Complex, makeup by Estee Lauder at Macy’s Southern Park Mall, and ideas for your home decor compliments of Princess House.

Holiday bazaar planned at downtown church
YOUNGSTOWN — Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St., will have its Holiday Bazaar Christmas Tree Lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 7 and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 8. For more than 58 years, the women at the church have sponsored this biennial event.
A luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 7, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 8. The cost is $6 for the luncheon, which will be served in Trinity’s Great Hall in a festive atmosphere with Christmas music.
A selection of Christmas items will include handcrafted decorations, needlework, jewelry, books and a few antiques. Also offered will be wooden items created by the men of the church, candy, baked goods, plants, quilts and braided rugs.
NOAS director honored with excellence award
WARREN — Cynthia S. Deal, executive director of Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, is the recipient of The U.S. Department of Human Services Individual Adoption Excellence Award 2008. She was honored Oct. 21 at a conference luncheon ceremony in Washington, D.C.
Eight other people from other states were honored with Deal for their individual outstanding accomplishments in rebuilding lives for America’s children waiting for adoption.
Deal, a Newark, Ohio, native, has lived in Warren and led NOAS for the past 12 years.
Argus Lodge honors Boros as Mason of year
CANFIELD — On Oct. 24, Argus Lodge 545 F&A.M. in Canfield honored Brother William T. Boros, one of its longtime members, with the Mason of the Year Award.
The award was established to honor a brother who has diligently served Argus Lodge and is viewed by the Master and officers as a Mason who has singled himself out through his actions in the past year.
He is a member of the Century Sailing Club at Pymatuning, Argus Golf League, Argus Tuesday Bunch and the Fellow Craft team leader at Argus Lodge.
Boros has been an active member of the lodge for many years and has been a Mason for 32 years. He resides in Austintown with his wife, Grace.
Tri-County Autism begins parent support meetings
The Tri-County Autism Society is a nonprofit organization serving families in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana Counties.
Recently, Tri-County has expanded to include a parent support group that will meet monthly. The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the new office in Austintown, at 1749 S. Raccoon Road, Suite 3. All family members are welcome.
