New Christian meditation group to meet

NILES — Niles First United Methodist Church, 608 N. Crandon Ave., will sponsor a new Christian meditation group beginning with the first session at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Community Room at the Eastwood Mall.

The group will meet each month on the second Monday. The group is open to anyone who wants to connect with the Divine, or to be refreshed, rejuvenated and inspired by meditation. Techniques explored during each session will include guided and silent meditation, reflective reading and exploring our creative natures.

The Rev. David MacDonald, church pastor, and Rebecca Glodde, a church member, are organizing the group. The Rev. Mr. MacDonald, who has studied Christian spirituality in a variety of settings, will facilitate the group. Those who are interested in joining may attend the first session or call the church at (330) 652-439 for more information.
