Group study offered
YOUNGSTOWN — Cornersburg Baptist Church, 3898 Tippecanoe Road, will offer a 12-week group study called “More Than Conquerors.” The study is open to the first 12 people who register. The first sessions will be at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 and 20 but may change to meet the needs of participants. No sessions will be during weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas or early January. Nov. 20 is registration deadline. The cost is $10 per person for materials.
The study will encourage participants to seek the source of truth to set them free from anything that keeps them from a victorious life and show them how they can experience the abundant life. The study is for anyone who wishes to break free of addictions such as nicotine, morphine, caffeine, arguing or eating. The study also will help people seeking help from abuse or from broken relationships.

Singspiration planned
EAST LIVERPOOL — Tri-State Chaplaincy Committee of the East Liverpool City Hospital will have its annual Singspiration at 5:40 p.m. Sunday at the First Church of the Nazarene, 670 Walnut St. John McGraw, music director at Columbiana First United Methodist Church, is chairman.
The evening will begin with a medley of hymns with McGraw at the piano and Bradley Bonam, organist for Christ United Methodist Church in Alliance. Anthems from these church choirs will be presented: Columbiana First United Methodist, East Liverpool First United Methodist, First Church of the Nazarene, Long’s Run Presbyterian and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
Beaver Local High School Show Choir Rhythm in Red and Oak Glen High School Little Theater Troup along with By His Grace, a local quartet made up of Chuck Beilhart, Jeff Capehart, Kevan Cunningham and John Smith, will perform. Soloists will be Marilyn Carlier and Jeffrey Tice. Peggy Barker and Herb Hood and Sally Bricker and McGraw will present duets.
A free-will offering will benefit the Chaplaincy Committee. Kevan Cunningham will be master of ceremonies.
Presenting parish mission
CANFIELD — The Rev. Michael Crosby, a Capuchin Franciscan friar from Milwaukee, will present a parish mission Nov. 9-12 at St. Michael Church, 300 N. Broad St. Programs, all from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the parish center, will be “Why Can’t We Believe in God’s Unconditional Love?” on Nov. 9 and “Discovering the Hole in Our Heart” on Nov. 10, both with refreshments and grade-school children’s activity in the center; “Forgiving from the Heart” on Nov. 11 with the Sacrament of Reconciliation, refreshments and activity for grade-school children; and “Discovering Who We Are in the Eucharist” on Nov. 12 with Mass followed by refreshments.
Morning programs, all from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., will be Nov. 10, “Repairing Our Relationships Part I;” Nov. 11, “Repairing Our Relationships Part II;” and Nov. 12, “Repairing Our Relationships Part III.”
Masses will be at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 10 and 11 in the church with refreshments after in the center.
Eucharistic Day
YOUNGSTOWN — Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., will have a solemn Eucharistic Day on Nov. 10. Mass will be at 8:30 a.m. with public adoration from 9:30 to 6:30 p.m. Homilist will be the Rev. David Misbrener, pastor of St. Peter of the Fields in Rootstown.
Litany of remembrance
HERMITAGE, Pa. — St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Todd Avenue, will offer a litany of remembrance on All Saints Sunday for church members and friends who have died during the past year. The service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Rosary cenacle
YOUNGSTOWN — The Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave., and Queen of the Holy Rosary prayer group will have a rosary cenacle at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the shrine. Refreshments will follow.

YOUNGSTOWN — St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will have a healing service at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jone Teana of Fuji, an Anglican priest who is visiting Poland Presbyterian Church. The service includes prayers and laying on of hands.
Fellowship banquet

Intergenerational retreat
VILLA MARIA, Pa. — Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will sponsor an intergenerational retreat for Advent titled, “A Time to Dress Up for Christmas.” The retreat, planned from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 15, is for families, couples, singles, single parents and senior citizens. The retreat will focus on spiritual lives and being dressed with our faith for Advent.
Presenters will be Jim Merhaut, chief executive officer of Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center, and Sisters Jeanne Thurin, Ardath Blake, Marguerite Holz and Barbara Lenarcic, retreat staff. The retreat will include lunch, age group experiences, a closing prayer ritual and a gift. The cost is $10 for an individual, $15 for two, $20 for three and $25 for four or more. Tibetan Buddhists visiting
TALLMADGE — The Unity Chapel of Light, 503 Northwest Ave., will sponsor a visit Friday through Nov. 15 by Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Dzindu Monastery in India. The group is led by Geshe Gankar Rinpoche, head Lama of the Dzindu Monastery. The monks are touring the United States to provide an opportunity for the public to learn about ancient Buddhist traditions through lectures, prayers and ritual ceremonies. During their visit, the monks will construct of a sand mandala and offer blessings.
