BASEBALL Babe Ruth (14-15s)

Wharmby 11, Sluggers 8 — P.J. Stickie singled with two outs in the top the seventh to break a 6-6 tie for Wharmby Sports. Garrett Blaschak also had two doubles for Wharmby. Brandon O’Brien and BlaIne Lang had two singles apiece for Sluggers.

Sluggers 9, Mahoning Valley Panthers 2 — Dan Brammer, Austin Creer and Blaine Lang had two RBI each to lead Sluggers. Clay Cooper had a double for the Panthers.

Joe Koch/Line Drive 9, Rondinelli 6 — Koch/Line Drive was led by Mark Leone with two doubles and Mark Calautti with two hits and two RBIs. Carmen Tarantino and winning pitcher David DiBernardi also had two hits each. For Rondinelli, Cody Pitzo doubled and singled. Boo Vasquez and Dave Gecina had two hits each and Brad Smith hit a two-run double.

Rondinelli 8, D&G 4 — Brad Smith went 3 for 3 and Nick Vazquez pitched five innings to pick up the win. Justin Fleo had two hits for the Longhorns.

Joe Koch/Roth Brothers 11, Mahoning Valley Panthers 1 — Koch/Line Drive was led by Carmen Tarantino and Pete Garthwaite with three hits apiece and two RBIs. Tarantino had a double. Dan Popio had two singles and three runs scored for Koch. Shane Brown doubled for the Panthers.

Rondinelli 10, Youngstown RBIs 1 — Dave Gecina, John McCormick, and Tony Mehle combined to limit the Youngstown RBIs to one run. Alex Miklos had three hits for Rondinelli. Dustin Gerkey and Jake Daugherty had hits for the RBIs.

Joe Koch/Roth Brothers 3, Youngstown RBIs 0 — Carmen Tarantino, Dan Popio and Joe Markovitch combined on a one-hit shutout. Mike Lopuchovsky led the offensive effort with two hits and two RBIs. dam Robb had two hits and Dan Popio added a double. Kyle Richael has the only hit for Youngstown RBIs.

Joe Koch/Roth Brothers 10, Rizer Group 0 — Carter Hill, Pete Garthwaite and Adam Robb combined to no-hit Rizer Group Insurance over five innings. Robb had three hits and three RBIs, Dan Popio had three hits and Carmen Tarantino added two.

D&G Longhorns 18 Youngstown RBI’s 8 — G.J. Senchak went 4-for-5 with a double, triple and six RBIs to lead D&G. Vince Pitzulo had four hits for D&G, while Doug Bennett, Todd Fennick, and Tyler Gentile added two each.

Wharmby 9, Youngstown RBIs 3 — Josh Saverko was 2-4 with a double and a single while Andre Jones and Garrett Blaschak also added two hits. Jared Bettura doubled and Kyle Richael tripled for RBIs.

Astro Falcons 14, Mahoning Valley Panthers 4 — Tim Audia had three hits and Tyler Serich and Mike Briach had two hits each. Serich struck out seven in five innings. Rick Yauger and Pat Donahue had two hits each for the Panthers.

D&G 7, Astro Falcons 5 — Nick Gallo, Tyler Gentile and Justin Fleo each had a single and a double.

Astro Falcons 7, D&G 3 — The Astro Falcons were lead by Ryan O’Hara with two hits and two RBIs, and Joey Benson with two hits. Clayton Bouchard had two hits for D&G and Andrew Kirkwood pitched three shutout innings.

Wharmby 6 D&G 0 — Jarrett Sonoga pitched a complete-game five-hit shutout to lead Wharmby. Kevin Pugliese, Jeremy Jancso and Brooks Fletcher had two hits each for Wharmby.

Triple Play 19, Joe Koch/Roth Brothers 15 — Markel Egbert-Peace hit a grand slam for Triple Play and Matt Cioffi hit a solo homer.

Mahoning Valley Panthers 6, Rondinelli 5 — Matt Lacko scored on a passed ball in the eighth inning for the winning run. Sam Donko and Jake Stauffer combined on the pitching for the Panthers. Jared Weisen hit a double for the Panthers. Dan Marker and Mitch Bolino had doubles for Rodinelli.

Astro Falcons 9, Triple Play 3 — Anthony Rohan’s four hits included a triple as he scored three times. Jacob Froats had three hits and scored three times. Ryan Brambaugh went 2-2 with 2 RBIs for X-treme.

Rondinelli 6, Joe Koch/Roth Brothers 0 — Brendon Cope, Jacob Foster and John Mark Weisman combined to limit Joe Koch to two hits. Connor Hoelzel, Dan Ferguson, Danny Marker and Robert Vargo added hits for Rondinelli. Mason Miller and A.J. Melnick had hits for Joe Koch.
