“Saturday Night Fights” (9 p.m., CBS): Network television jumps into the cage tonight and turns its attention to the hard-core world of mixed martial arts for the first presentation of “Saturday Night Fights.” Gus Johnson, Frank Shamrock and Mauro Ranallo call the blow-by-blow action from the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

“The D.C. Sniper’s Wife” (9 p.m., TruTV): For 23 days in 2002, random shootings in Virginia and Maryland terrorized the region. The capture of shooters John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo ended the killings, but not the questions of what prompted the spree. This special spotlights the story of Muhammad’s ex-wife Mildred, including interviews with her and the couple’s adult children. Home movies and photos illustrate Muhammad’s shift from loving husband to dangerous predator.
