Sens. Clinton, Obama add endorsements

Newsday

Hillary Rodham Clinton got the endorsement of Ricky Martin, five-time Grammy-winning Puerto Rican pop artist and hot guy, who said:

“These elections will have historic repercussions both in the United States and the world. Senator Clinton has always been consistent in her commitment with the needs of the Latino community. Whether fighting for better education, universal health care and social well-being, as first lady and senator from New York — representing millions of Latinos — she has always fought for what is most important for our families.”

Unfortunately for Clinton, Latin pop stars don’t have votes at the Democratic National Convention. Eileen Macoll does.

You may never have heard of her, but she’s a superdelegate from Washington:

“I’m taking this step today because I have been inspired by Hillary’s bold commitment to solving our nation’s toughest challenges. On the issues that matter most — from establishing universal health care to improving our schools to ending the war in Iraq — she has never backed down and never wavered. Hillary has what it takes to beat John McCain this fall and win back the White House.”

Barack Obama added two Oregonians, Gail Rasmussen and Wayne Kinney, a Democratic national committeeman.
