AUSTINTOWN — An 18-year-old Meanderwood Drive man reported that an ex-girlfriend burned him with a lighted cigarette and scratched him in his driveway and later tried to attack him at Austintown Fitch High School.

Austintown police took photos of the man’s injuries, which were on his arm. No charges have been filed against the woman.

Police said Principal Doug McGlynn restrained the woman when she entered the building Wednesday afternoon.

The man and his mother told police the 18-year-old woman from Colgate Drive has been sending the man and other family members numerous unwanted telephone calls, messages, text messages, and threats of violence and death.

The man and his mother were at the high school together when the incident involving the principal occurred, the police report said. They had gone there to discuss “school issues,” the report said.
