Timko’s relief keys R&J; Rosenberg has 5 RBIs

STRUTHERS — Nick Timko tossed four innings of two-hit relief Wednesday as R&J Trucking defeated Action Physical Therapy, 11-6, in Class B action.

Timko allowed one unearned run and struck out eight with two walks.

John Madeline had three hits while Nick Baimonte added two hits and three RBIs. Mike Popio added a pair of hits for R&J.

For Action Physical Therapy, Dom Neely had two hits.

Astro Falcons 12, Wharmby Sports 4

T.J. Rosenberg had three hits, including a double and a triple, to drive in five runs.

Philip Woods added three hits while Jared Turocy, Sutton Whiting and winning pitcher Jared Kirin added a pair of hits each.

Kirin went the first five innings for the win. He had five strikeouts and allowed one earned run.

Scott Harmon had a pair of hits while Ben Bechtol doubled for Wharmby (1-2).

Class AA

YOUNGSTOWN — Eric Pintz tripled and scored to help Youngstown Metros defeat Roth Brothers, 4-3, at Pemberton Park.

Joe Irwin picked up the win in relief of Matt Tucker.

Rick Gozur hit a RBI double for Roth.

Warren AA

WARREN — Justin Street hit a three-run homer as the Elite Shockers defeated the Champion Marlins, 3-0.

Jeremy Krol tossed the shutout with nine strikeouts.

Flex Strut 10, Trumbull Predators 7

Aaron Johnstone earned the win, striking out 10 in six innings. Adam Morgan’s two hits included a double and he stole two bases. Jeff Claar had a pair of doubles and four RBIs.

The Predators’ Joe Klima had three base hits.
