Nesbitt fans 13 in Rondinelli’s 5-2 win over the Astro Falcons

STRUTHERS — Cory Nesbitt tossed a complete game with 13 strikeouts as Rondinelli Tuxedo defeated Astro Falcons, 5-2.

Nesbitt did not walk a batter and both runs he allowed were unearned. Drew Fitzpatrick and Phil Double had a single and a double each for Rondinelli (2-0).

Jared Turocy allowed one earned run in his six innings of work with six strikeouts in a losing performance for the Astros who managed just four singles in the game.

Livi Steel 11, Wharmby Sports 6

NILES — Livi Steel scored 11 times in the first three innings.

Jae Leeworthy had three hits including a triple and drove home four runs while Bobby Herberger added three singles.

Zack Magee went six innings for the win, allowing no earned runs while striking out 12 and walking six.
