CANFIELD CITY

May 16

Theft: A 19-year-old male student from Struthers reported that his flash drive had possibly been stolen at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road.

May 17

Drug abuse: A 27-year-old Columbus woman was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and falsification at West Main Street and Canfield Tire. The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Boardman man was also arrested on charges of falsification, obstructing official business and driving under suspension. Police found $2,219 in cash on the woman, and numerous types of controlled substances, including painkillers.

May 21

Theft: The manager of Get Go Gas Station, 375 E. Main St., reported a man came into the store several times and stole about $4 worth of snacks.

May 24

Drug abuse: A 28-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on Fairgrounds Boulevard for drug abuse after police found a plastic bag of suspected marijuana. His female passenger was charged with underage consumption of alcohol and falsification for giving police false identification information.

May 25

Drug abuse, falsification: A 20-year-old Canfield man was charged with possessing and concealing and drug abuse of marijuana after police found 3 grams of marijuana on him, and he was also charged with underage consumption of alcohol at East Main Street and the BP gas station.

May 19

Burglary: Numerous items were stolen from an apartment in the 1000 block of North Meridian Road.

Drug offense: A Lisbon woman was issued a summons for a drug offense at state Route 46 and Interstate 80. Police charged the woman with drug abuse, paraphernalia and possession.

Theft: $100 in fuel was stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Work paid for was not completed at a home in the 3000 block of White Beech Lane.

Theft: 30 Xanax pills were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Maple Spring Drive.

Theft: Unauthorized charges were made against a debit account and reported at a home in the 1000 block of Cedarwood Drive.

Possible theft: Money was reported missing from an apartment in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Burglary: A lawn mower was taken and a house was also entered in the 20 block of North Edgehill Ave.

Theft: A camcorder with accessories was stolen at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

May 20

Theft: Inventory and cash was stolen from Revol Wireless, 1698 S. Raccoon Road.

Breaking and entering: A 2006 Hummer was stolen at Greenwood Hummer, 4665 Mahoning Ave.

Drug offense: Charges are pending for possession of a drug pipe with residue and a bag for an 18-year-old female Austintown Fitch High School student who was found in possession of the items at the school, 4560 Falcon Drive.

Identity theft: Checks were reported stolen from a home in the 6000 block of Harvest Ridge Drive.

Obstructing official business: A man was arrested for providing false information during a traffic stop at Meridian Road and Bears Den Road.

Criminal damaging: A cell phone was damaged at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Two women were arrested for theft at Wal-Mart.

May 21

Theft: $30 in fuel was stolen at Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Lost or stolen: A license plate on a North Carolina trailer owned by U-Haul in Phoenix was reported lost or stolen at Lewis and Co., 3674 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Avon packages were reported stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: $35 in fuel was stolen from Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: $45 in fuel was reported stolen at Pilot Oil, 1050 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

May 22

Recovered property: A wallet was returned to a victim in the 100 block of Javit Court.

Aggravated menacing: A threat was made to a student by another student at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Meridian Road.

Burglary: An apartment was entered in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted phone calls were reported at a home in the 1000 block of Collins Avenue.

Tampering with coin machines: Two juveniles were apprehended for tampering with coin machines at Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.

May 23

Theft: Patio furniture was reported stolen at a home in the 200 block of Idaho Road.

Counterfeit check: A check for $26,700 was discovered to be counterfeit after it was presented at Westgate Ford Truck, 3680 LeHarps Road.

May 25

Fleeing and eluding: An Austintown man was arrested on charges of eluding and fleeing in a car and resisting arrest at a home in the 3000 block of Black Forest Hill.

Theft: $42.02 in fuel was reported taken at Certified Oil, 825 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Burglary: Two juveniles were apprehended with stolen bikes at a home and in an attached garage in the 100 block of S. Inglewood Avenue.

Assault: Two juvenile victims were assaulted at the Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A window was broken out and a computer was taken at a townhouse in the 1000 block of Fountain Square Drive.

Criminal mischief: Juveniles set off fire crackers in a mailbox that was attached to a house in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive. The 74-year-old female owner called police.

Menacing: Threats were made by a co-worker at Sateri Nursing Home, 297 Westminster Ave.

May 26

Receiving stolen property: A man was put on police hold at St. Elizabeth’s main campus for receiving stolen property at South Meridian Road and Elmwood Avenue.

Theft from auto: A man is a suspect in a theft from an auto at the Home Depot, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A female employee’s nine prescription medications were taken from under the counter where she places them at work at Noday’s, 3713 Oakwood Ave.

Theft from auto: A rear license plate was stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Timberbrook Drive.

Theft: $66 in fuel was stolen at the BP Gas Station, 890 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
