5th Wyo. superdelegate supports Obama

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Democrat Barack Obama on Tuesday picked up a fifth Wyoming superdelegate.

Nancy Drummond, the vice chairwoman of the state party, said she vacillated between supporting Obama or Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“I think they’re both incredible candidates,” she said in a telephone interview, “and I don’t think that this country would be at a loss if either side were nominated.”

Drummond said she wanted to respect the views of Wyoming voters. Obama won the state’s party caucuses in March with 61 percent of the vote to Clinton’s 38 percent.

Five of the state’s six superdelegates have committed to Obama.
