XHoliday Hair will be Cutting For The Cure from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at 26 Pine Grove Village Drive, Grove City, Pa. Refreshments and raffles will be featured. Haircuts for men, women and children will be $10, and waxes will be $5. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s 24-hour Relay for Life at 9 a.m. June 14 at Mercer High School.

SALES

X Hubbard First United Methodist Church, 48 Church St., will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be clothing, household goods, books and decorations.

X A super garage sale to benefit the Shrine of Our Lady, Comforter of the Afflicted, will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1686 Laurie Drive in Austintown (behind Wedgewood Plaza).

XYoungstown VA Clinic Volunteers will sponsor a flea market and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 3 at the clinic on Belmont Avenue. SPECIAL EVENTS

XAustintown Stitching Sisters is sponsoring a visit by renowned quilter Pat Knoechel of California from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 2 at Idaho Road Alliance Church, 250 Idaho Road, Austintown. The event is open to the public. A donation of $3 includes lunch, and door prizes will be given. For more information, call (330) 793-9570.

X Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women's and children's clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.
