McCanns celebrate 60th anniversary during family dinner party in Florida

WINTER PARK, Fla. — Mr. and Mrs. Walter McCann of Winter Park were honored April 10 during a family dinner party at the Stonewood Restaurant in Florida on the occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary.

The former Kathryn Stacey of Struthers and Mr. McCann were united in marriage April 10, 1948, at Immaculate Conception Church in Astoria, N.C., and afterward traveled extensively. The couple finally settled in Florida 37 years ago, when Mr. McCann retired as a major with from the U.S. Air Force.

The McCanns’ family includes their three children and their spouses, Kathleen McCollum of Virginia, Maureen and Joseph McCarthy of Georgia, and Thomas and Donna McCann of Florida, and a granddaughter, Kelly McCann of North Carolina.
