X Erie Mahoning Valley Railroad Association will meet at noon Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road, Austintown. Reports will be given, and birthdays will be recognized. All railroad retirees and their spouses are welcome.

GIRARD

X Girard Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the center, 16 N. State St. A memorial service to honor deceased members of the past year will be officiated by the Rev. Sarah Jay, pastor of First Baptist Church. Reservations will be accepted for a picnic that has been scheduled for June 25. The cost is $6.

X Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Merici Hall in the rectory basement. Dues of $10 will be collected. Jennie Nethers will preside, and there will be cards, bingo and a 50-50 drawing. Sandwiches, snacks and coffee will be served. Hostesses are Rose Colella and Theresa Pesa. MARTHA LUPSE

X Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Ted Conner will give the devotions. A pizza party will take place at noon; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. Delphi Packard

X Packard Electric and Delphi Packard Retirees will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Local 717 Union Hall in Warren Commerce Park, 2950 Sferra Ave. Those attending are asked to take a labeled covered dish and table service. A representative of the Alzheimer’s Association will discuss symptoms and treatments for the disease.

S.O.A.R. 27-16

X Oliver Montgomery Chapter 27-16, S.O.A.R., will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road. New members are welcome. Meetings are the last Wednesday of each month.

St. Christine

XSt. Christine Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the parish center. Ruth Infante will preside. Reports will be given by Verna Dues and May Jo Theis, and hostesses will be Marge Thomas, Mary Lowery and Diane Bertilacci. A 50-50 raffle, cards and bingo will be featured.

Sts. Peter and Paul

X A meeting of Sts. Peter and Paul Senior Citizens will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ukrainian Center. Ann Smith will preside, and Pat Hoffman and Mary Kachmer will give reports. Lunch will be served by Karen Gaca, Clara Safner and Marge Schialdone.

Silver and Gold

X Silver and Gold will meet at noon Tuesday at St. Stephen of Hungary rectory. Lunch will be provided, a 50-50 drawing will take place, and bingo will be played. Irene Bobovecz and Irene Gianfrancesco will serve as hostesses.

TRAVEL BUGS

X Travel Bugs is sponsoring a one-day bus trip to the Amish area on June 17 from SCOPE sites in Howland, Cortland and Champion. Among the stops will be Beitenbach Wine Cellars for a wine sampling, Helping Hands Quilt Shop and Museum, Heini’s Cheese Chalet, Wendell August Forge, lunch at Beachy's Country Buffet, and a stop at Beldon Village. The cost is $59 a person with a $20 deposit required at the time of registration. Call (330) 609-7806 to register. The next Travel Bugs outing will be June 26 to see “Damn Yankees.”
