Beight & Sons Family tree
1830: Henry Beight settles in Unity Township in Columbiana County in 1830. He was from Maryland, but his ancestors were German.
1897: Henry’s son O.T. takes over a New Castle, Pa., monument business and moves it to the family farm.
1940: O.T.’s sons Wilbur and Roy take over the business.
1955: Wilbur’s son Cecil begins working in the family business after leaving the Marines and eventually takes over ownership with his brother Dale.
1992: Cecil’s son, Eric, begins to buy out his father.
1999: Eric becomes the sole owner when Dale dies and he buys out Dale’s interest.
