“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday, WFMJ-TV 21; and 7 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable Channel 15 in Trumbull County): The Memorial Day holiday officially kicks off the Click It or Ticket campaign to encourage motorists to wear their seatbelts. Susan Viars of the Mahoning Safe Communities Coalition will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the program and the local incentive from Handel’s Ice Cream and law enforcement for motorists to buckle up.

Next, former CBS weatherman and stroke survivor Mark McEwen and Dr. Diane Mulligan will discuss stroke awareness. Additionally, stroke survivor and WFMJ Chief Meteorologist Mark Koontz will examine life after a stroke and the importance of a positive attitude in healing.
