Kmetz-Antonas troth announced, wedding planned

X CAMPBELL — Michael and Deborah Kmetz of Campbell are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Sue Kmetz, and Michael John Antonas, a son of John and Lisa Antonas of Poland.

The bride-elect is a third-grade teacher with Cortland Elementary School. She graduated from Youngstown State University with a master’s degree as a reading specialist.

The prospective groom, a staff sergeant with the Ohio Army National Guard in Ravenna, served seven years with the U.S. Army and was deployed to Baghdad in Iraq in 2005-06. He earned a bachelor’s degree in military history at Ohio State University.

The couple have planned an open wedding that will take place at 2 p.m. Aug. 2 at St. Lucy Church. Their evening reception will be held by invitation at St. Lucy Banquet Center.
