Butler Institute

The Butler Institute of American Art is unveiling an original painting of boxing champ Kelly Pavlik by local artist Ray Simon:

The public unveiling will take place at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the main atrium of the Butler.

The original piece will be on display at Caesars Palace in Atlantic City the week of Pavlik’s June 7 fight against Gary Lockett. It will then return home to Youngstown to be displayed permanently in the museum’s sports wing.

Lithographic art prints of the painting will be available for $25.
