East Palestine council announces summer schedule

EAST PALESTINE — In observance of Memorial Day, city council has moved its next public meeting from Monday to Wednesday. The session will start at 7 p.m. Council members also announced they will meet once a month through summer, canceling the second meeting of each month, June through August, unless otherwise announced. Council will meet as scheduled June 9, July 14 and Aug. 11. The meetings for June 23, July 28 and Aug. 25 are canceled. Officials said they will schedule special meetings if needed and announce those sessions accordingly.
