Party on the Plaza season is here. The first in the annual series of outdoor parties in from of Buffalo Wild Wings, Wick Avenue, downtown Youngstown, begins as soon as work ends and runs until closing time. Bands include Jordan DePaul at 8 p.m. and Geo C and The Storm at 10:30 p.m.

Led Zeppelin and The Who come to the Warren Amphitheatre. Well, actually, it will be Zoso, a Led Zep tribute band, and Bargain, ditto, except for The Who. The free outdoor event begins at 5 p.m. There will be beer (and food).

Monday is Memorial Day, so that makes Sunday a party night.

The Ibsen drama is about a gifted woman in a loveless marriage, with no opportunity for achievement other than to bring children into the world. Horrified at this prospect and stifled by the respectability that provides her with her only security, she seeks fulfillment in manipulating the lives of others and diverts herself by fencing with a dangerous predator.

Jonesfest, an outdoor rock festival with 13 local bands, begins at 2 p.m. May 31. It’s on Federal Plaza, downtown, and it’s free.
