Agent’s insurance license revoked for felony charge
COLUMBUS — Ohio Department of Insurance has revoked the resident insurance license of Kevin M. Jividen of Youngstown for violating Ohio insurance law.
The department said Jividen, a resident insurance agent, was convicted on a felony theft charge last November in Portage County. The state said the charge involved taking more than $200,000 from an elderly client by assuming her identity. Ohio insurance law states the license of an insurance agent can be revoked upon conviction of a felony.
Stoneridge’s joint venture stops public offering
HOWLAND — Stoneridge said that its PST Eletronica S.A. joint venture, based in Brazil, has filed documents to discontinue its initial public offering process, which it had begun in October 2007. Stoneridge said the decision was made because of the general uncertainty related to global credit issues and lack of strength in the global equity markets. Stoneridge is based in Howland but has operations around the world that make electrical and electronic components for vehicles.
