HUBBARD
May 16
Assault: A woman told police a family member slapped her face at a Mock Street residence during an argument about exchanging custody of a child.
Burglary: At a home in the 300 block of Center Street. Various items were missing.
May 17
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a commercial building on North Main Street.
Theft: Flowers at Nemenz IGA Super Center, 880 W. Liberty St.
Theft: A female juvenile stole candy and batteries from Devine’s Shop ’n’ Save, 529 N. Main St.

Theft: A piece of railroad property was stolen in the 100 block of East Liberty Street.
Menacing: An East Liberty Street man reported a neighbor threatened his life.

Theft: A Hubbard man was picked up on a warrant from the Girard Municipal Court charging him with theft.
LIBERTY
May 16
Criminal damaging: A Church Hill-Hubbard Road woman and her son said two juveniles, 12 and 13, damaged a basketball hoop that belongs to the son.
Assault: A Niles woman alleged a 17-year-old boy threw her against the hood of a vehicle and to the ground as she intervened to stop a possible fight on Naylor-Lloyd Road.
Arrest: Authorities, along with members of the U.S. Marshals Northeast Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force, took into custody a 37-year-old man at his Northview Boulevard apartment. The man was wanted in Hermitage, Pa., on charges of aggravated robbery, receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon and being a convicted felon with a firearm.
Arrest: A 52-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a warrant was arrested as police responded to a hang-up 911 call from a Frederick Street residence.
Breaking and entering: A Tibbetts-Wick Road man reported someone broke into his garage and took a chain saw, a weed trimmer and boxes containing fishing tackle, for a loss of $450.
Vandalism: Hubbard police handed a 21-year-old Hubbard man to Liberty officers on state Route 304. He was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with the crime after a Gypsy Lane business was vandalized.
Aggravated menacing: A Roosevelt Drive woman called police after two men in a red car pulled into a driveway in front of her and tried to coax her to get in, at one point threatening to kill the woman, as she walked on Hadley Avenue.
May 17
Possible theft: A woman told officers two people at her elderly family members’ Keefer Road home may have stolen medications from the couple.
Threats: A man who owns property on Frederick Street called police after another man reportedly threatened to harm the accuser as he prepared to evict the tenant.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a concession stand that belongs to the Liberty School District, damaging the door jamb.
Arrest: Boardman police turned a Boardman man, 49, over to Liberty authorities. He was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with failing to appear in court.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 5100 block of Belmont Avenue found rocks in her yard that were likely used to place two large dents in a portion of her aluminum siding. Damage was estimated at $300.

Theft: A woman in the 1600 block of Keefer Road reported an MP3 player and two compact-disc cases containing roughly 30 CDs stolen from her car.
Menacing: A Frederick Street woman alleged a neighbor, 28, threatened to harm her as part of a six-month pattern of harassment.
May 19
Drug paraphernalia: A traffic stop in the 4000 block of Belmont Avenue resulted in the arrest of a Hubbard woman, 26, wanted on a warrant from the Ohio State Highway Patrol charging her with possession of drug paraphernalia. Two suspected crack pipes also were found, police said.
GIRARD
May 18
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An Elruth Court man said he loaned his Pontiac Grand Am to a 36-year-old Warren man who failed to return the car.
Theft: A man reported the theft of a tool and beer from trailers near South State Street.
Criminal mischief: A Krehl Avenue man discovered a ceramic statue was removed from his lawn and smashed on the ground nearby.
Menacing: A Girard man traveling on Mosier Road reported someone in a truck nearly ran him off the road intentionally.

Theft: A Girard woman, 20, was charged with stealing a pound of beef from Santisi’s IGA Super Center, 419 N. State St.
Theft: A Joan Avenue woman reported her husband and eight to 10 other people forcibly entered her home, damaged her front door and took numerous items.
