CANFIELD — The Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Association Summer Circuit show will be June 18-22 at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

American Quarter Horse Shows test the horses’ abilities in dozens of different classes and feature exciting events such as jumping, barrel racing, cutting, roping and pole bending. Additionally, halter classes that judge American Quarter Horses based on balance, muscling and breed characteristics are held.

Gordon Lighfoot coming to Mountaineer

CHESTER, W.Va. — Gordon Lightfoot will perform June 11 at the Harv at Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort. Lightfoot’s hits include “Sundown,” “If You Could Read My Mind” and” The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 and $25 and can be purchased at any Ticketmaster location.

Party on the Plaza kicks off with Bike Night

YOUNGSTOWN — Party on the Plaza, the series of Friday night outdoor parties in front of the downtown Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant, returns this week. It will begin with a Bike Night from 4-9 p.m., with a block of Federal Street closed for motorcycle parking. Live entertainment starts at 8 p.m. Here is the music schedule:

June 13: Acoustic Juggernaut and Via Sahara.

Cedar Point waterpark

SANDUSKY — High-flying bikers and splash landings will be part of the fun when a new extreme sports stunt show and the Soak City waterpark at Cedar Point open for the summer Saturday. An all-you-can-eat buffet will also be available during the Memorial Day weekend.

All Wheels Extreme is a 25-minute program with bikers, gymnasts, dancers, a rollerblader and a skateboarder. The 12-person cast will use ramps, half-pipes and a trampoline to execute stunts.
