Street signs found and returned

AUSTINTOWN — Found: street signs, apparently from communities throughout the area.

The owner of a rental property on Callaway Circle turned in 17 street signs Wednesday to an employee of the Austintown Township Road Department, who turned them over to police. The property owner said he found the signs while cleaning out the home.

Names of the roads suggests the signs were taken from a variety of townships in Mahoning and Trumbull County. Among the signs were Meadow View, Pleasant Valley, Leffingwell, Victory, Western Reserve, Winner’s Circle, Huxley, Memory Lane, Sugarbush, East Golf, Country Club, Bedell, Garda Lane, St. Rosario Place, Spring Lake Lane, St. Albans and Lonesome Dove.
