POLAND — Jason Simons (4-1) tossed a three-hitter Saturday for Poland in a Division II tournament game. Matt Pitzulo’s two hits included a two-run homer for Poland (13-7). Trent Vallinger tripled while Marc Turnbull drove in two runs. Poland’s next tournament opponent will be Lakewood St. Edward on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Cene Park. For Lakeview (13-11), Kevin Cox, Scott Palette and Mike Pasternak singled.

UNIONTOWN — Andrew Warren’s three hits included a double. Nick Wiery and Jason Bagoly each had two hits for the Falcons (12-8, 8-4 Federal League) while Jim Kinnick drove in three runs with a bases-loaded hit.

MASSILLON — Katie O’Loughlin singled for the Falcons’ (10-12, 3-7 Federal League) only hit.
