X Leah Colleen Scharville and Robert Timothy Prischak were united in marriage April 10 while at sea aboard the Grand Princess Cruise Ship.

The captain, Andrea Poggi, officiated for the ceremony in the ship’s chapel, and a reception followed in the Sky Walkers Lounge.

The couple were accompanied on the seven-day Caribbean cruise by friends and family from Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, England and Slovakia.

Parents of the bride are Paul and Connie Scharville of Burghill. The groom is the son of Andrew and Mary Prischak of Macedonia.

Emily Minnick served as maid of honor, and the bride’s cousin, Elizabeth Deaner, was flower girl.

Daniel Prischak, brother of the groom, performed the duties of best man, and Daniel Scott Fecik, brother of the bride, was the usher.

The bride wore a fitted white gown draped with chiffon, embellished with crystal beading and featuring a ruffled chapel train. She carried a cascading bouquet of vibrantly colored tropical flowers.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in art education at the University of Akron. She is employed as an art instructor at Bristol High School.

The groom graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in management information systems. He is employed at 1 EDI Source in Kent.
