X Boardman South Chapter AARP, 4545, will meet at 11:30 a.m. June 5 at Holiday Inn South, Boardman. Elmer Haidle will preside. The menu choices are Swiss steak or baked scrod at $13.50. X Members of AARP Chapter 4611 will meet at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church on Parmelee Avenue. Gwen Alexander will speak for the memorial service. Refreshments will be served, and there will be a 50-50 raffle. New members are welcome.

HOLY NAME

X Holy Name Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. May 25 at Founder’s Hall for lunch, cards and bingo. Birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and there will be drawings. The luncheon committee will be Ann Tumpak, Joe Tumpak and Agnes Phillips.

X Liberty Friends will meet at 10 a.m. May 28 at Liberty Presbyterian Church on Route 304. Members are asked to take a sack lunch; coffee will be provided. Cards and games will be played. All are welcome.

X Public Employees Retirees, Mahoning Chapter 18, will meet at noon June 3 at the Italian American Veterans Centre on Meridian Road, Youngstown. The guest speaker will be Michael Mussell, health benefit counselor, whose topic will be “Medicare Open Health Policy.” The buffet meal will include Swiss steak, au gratin potatoes, green beans almondine, salad, rolls, coffee, tea, and apple pie with ice cream. The cost is $7 for members, associate members and guests at the door. X Retired Registered Nurses will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Western Reserve Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, for a catered casserole luncheon. Members and guests are asked to take articles (no clothing) for the battered women’s shelter. Reservations should have been in to Lee Kobalan. All registered nurses are welcome.

RETIRED TEACHERS

X Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will have a satellite luncheon May 28 at Park Vista Retirement Community, 1216 Fifth Ave., A social hour will begin at noon, and lunch will follow. All retired teachers, regardless of where they taught and including retired teachers living at Park Vista, are welcome. The program will be presented by Rich Morgan of WKBN TV. X St. Stanislaus Senior Citizenswill meet Monday at the church. Mass will be at 11:30, and a buffet will be at noon by previously paid reservations. Games will follow.

X Keenagers of Third Baptist Church will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A Mother’s Day program will be presented by Ella Johnson, and the speaker will be Edna Pincham. Plans will be made for a trip.
