Ursuline Center offering various programs

CANFIELD — Three religious-oriented programs are planned at the Ursuline Center, 4280 Shields Road. They are:

SBltThe Many Faces of Prayer. Sessions are 10 to 11:30 a.m. or 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 2, 9, 16 and 23 with Eileen Novotny, certified spiritual director. The cost is $35 for the series or $10 a session. SBltPrayer shawl ministry. Meetings are planned from 10 a.m. to noon or 6:30 to 8 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Ursuline Center. Contact Novotny for details.

SBltThe Synoptic Gospels. Sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon June 26 and July 3, 10 and 17 or 6 to 9 p.m. June 25 and July 2, 9 and 16 at the center. Sister Maureen McCarthy, an Ursuline sister from Cleveland who has taught more than 35 years, will lead the program on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke. The cost is $100 for four sessions and registration is required by June 16 by calling the center at (330) 799-4941. Continuing education units are available.
