Churches plan family rally day at park
BOARDMAN — A family rally day is planned from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hofmaster and Long Pavilions at Boardman Township Park by Region Four of the Mahoning Valley District of the United Methodist Church.
The family-oriented event is free. There will be food, games, gift baskets, guest artists and speakers throughout the day. There will be special music by the Boardman United Methodist Church praise band, Rejoice, and praise bands from Western Reserve United Methodist Church and Poland United Methodist Church.
There will be two bounce tents sponsored by Austintown Bounce.
The schedule will be:
2 to 3 p.m.: praise bands.
3 to 4 p.m.: singer/guitarist Chip Richter, geared to children and families.
4 to 4:30 p.m.: 11th Hour, Christian rock band, for youth.
4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: speaker Dave Kahout and the band Unmerited, for youth.
5:30 to 6 p.m.: praise bands.
6 to 6:30 p.m.: singer Tia Ciferno, for families.
6:45 to 8 p.m.: keynote speaker the Rev. Ash Welch and Ciferno, for families.
