Crash victim's identity expected today

YOUNGSTOWN — The male passenger in a Chevrolet Cavalier traveling south on Glenwood Avenue Thursday afternoon died after the car collided with a cement truck traveling north near Midlothian Boulevard, said Detective Sgt. Patricia Garcar, an accident investigator. The man’s name is expected to be released today by the coroner. Garcar said the crash happened at 3:40 p.m. when the Cavalier driver, thinking he could beat the truck, turned in front of it. No other serious injuries were reported.
