Club Calendar: Area groups announce activities
CLUBS
• Due to the upcoming holiday, American Hungarian Club’s next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the club. Plans will be completed for the Youngstown State University Ethnic Fest in July.
• Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a noon lunch and meeting. A program on Israel will be presented by the Rev. Kathryn Adams. Hostesses will be Carol Smusz and Margaret Meikle.
• Hubbard Fortnightly IV will meet Thursday at the home of Metta Lennen with Sally Malin as co-hostess. A program on “My Antique Dishes” will be presented by Pat Morell, and officers for 2008-2009 will be installed by JoAnn Roose.
• Kent State University Mothers Club will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Dona Vito’s, 139 S. Main St., Struthers. Scholarship winners will be honored, and plans for 2008-2009 will be finalized. • Youngstown Torch Club will meet Monday at Noodles Restaurant in Kilcawley Center on the campus at Youngstown State University. • Friends of Austintown Library will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the children’s meeting room. The program will be “Scams, Identity Theft and Fraud” by Melissa Padisak of the Better Business Bureau. The meeting is open to the public.

• Court Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunrise Assisted Living, 335 McKinley Way W., Poland, where a May crowning is on the agenda.
