YSU Centennial: Remaining events

Youngstown State University’s celebration of its 100th year began last fall and runs through homecoming this year. Remaining key events are:

July 12: All Alumni Reunion, noon to 5 p.m., YSU. Alumni from across the nation will come home to celebrate YSU’s 100th birthday. There will be displays, demonstrations and performances by each of the university’s six colleges.

July 12 and 13: YSU Summer Festival of the Arts, Campus Core, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 12 and noon to 6 p.m. July 13.

July 12: Annual Forte on the Fifty, Stambaugh Stadium, 7 p.m.

Aug. 17: Summer commencement, 2 p.m., Stambaugh Auditorium.

Aug. 24: Outstanding Freshman Scholars Tribute, 2 p.m., location to be announced.

Sept. 19: Legacy of Hispanics in the Valley, Chestnut Room, Kilcawley Center. Time to be announced.

Oct. 25: Homecoming. Official closing of the centennial celebration. An alumni marching band will be featured.
