Humane society will have fundraiser in Salem

SALEM — The Humane Society of Columbiana County will have a Trash and Treasure Market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 24 at its new headquarters at 1825 S. Lincoln Ave.

Proceeds and donations are tax deductible and support the care of homeless, neglected and abused companion animals throughout the county. Vendors interested in participating should call for more information. The society will not accept large appliances and furniture or adult clothing.

The society is also asking people with unwanted perennial plants to donate them to the society to help landscape the grounds.
