Cancer: How to enroll in the Boardman Relay for Life

How to enroll

The American Cancer Society’s Boardman Relay for Life is one of three relays in Ohio to enroll in the 20-year Cancer Prevention Study-3.

People between the ages of 30 and 65 are being sought to enroll in CPS-3 from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Boardman relay at Boardman Center Middle School football stadium, 7410 Market St., across from the Southern Park Mall.

Enrollment will take about 30 minutes.

Participants will complete a short survey, sign a consent form, and provide a waist measurement and a small blood sample (similar to a doctor’s visit) drawn by a certified phlebotomist.

At home, participants will complete a more detailed survey about their lifestyle, behavior and other factors related to their health.
