Ben Brocker, four doubles advance
BOARDMAN — Poland sophomore Ben Brocker and the four top seeded doubles teams have advanced to the Division II boys sectional tennis semifinals held here Wednesday.
The action began outdoors before rain forced the play indoors at the Boardman Tennis Center.
Brocker, the No. 2 seed in singles, defeated United’s Spencer Widlicka 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the semis. The three other quarterfinal matches were all postponed by rain and will be completed today.
