SHANNAN SHOBEL JEFFREY JURSA

X GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE — The Lodge at Geneva State Park was the setting April 26 for the exchange of vows between Shannan Shobel and Jeffrey Jursa, both of 1918 Countryside Drive, Austintown.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her son, Evan Shobel or Austintown, during the 5:30 p.m. ceremony, officiated by the Rev. James J. Stewart.

She was represented by her sisters, Joan Clous of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Anna Luknis of Youngstown, and her brother, Richard Evans of Youngstown, and her matron of honor was Karen Twyford of Columbus, sister of the groom.

The groom is the son of Raymond and Estella Jursa of 2414 Ardenwood Place, Austintown.

His best man was Leo Napolitano of Canfield, and ring bearer was Morgan Twyford of Columbus, the groom’s nephew.

The groom’s brother-in-law, Spencer Twyford of Columbus, served as usher.

The bride wore an ivory satin gown fashioned with a V-neckline, fitted bodice and a full-length mermaid skirt. Four gatherings that embellished the train were adorned by diamond accents.

The honor attendant wore a brown dress.

A reception at the lodge followed.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
