Search turns up suspected drugs, and a rifle

YOUNGSTOWN — A search warrant used to enter 328 Jackson St. turned up suspected heroin, a digital scale and a semiautomatic rifle and resulted in the arrest Tuesday afternoon of the renter, Andre Little, 22.

Little appeared via video from the jail for arraignment Wednesday in municipal court. He is charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Robert P. Milich set bond at $20,000 and appointed a lawyer to represent Little, who said he has no income. During the search, police confiscated two bags of heroin and the scale, both found on a kitchen counter. Officers also seized $140 found on Little and a camera cell phone that had photos of him posing with assault rifles and other firearms, reports show.
