CHINESE AUCTIONS

• Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will have a Chinese auction Sunday. Doors open at noon, and drawings begin at 1:30 p.m. Green ticket sheets are $3 each or two for $5, and specials are $1 each. There will also be a 50-50 raffle and food.

CARD/BINGO PARTIES

• Ladies Altar Society of St. Mark Orthodox Church, 3560 Logan Way, Liberty, will sponsor its annual card party at 6 p.m. Thursday at the church hall. Admission is $6 and includes food and coffee. There will be a Chinese auction, door prizes and table prizes. Ethnic pastries, spinach pies and meat pies will be sold. Tickets will be available at the door or by calling (330) 755-6538.

• Rebekah Lodge of Mineral Ridge will sponsor a card and bingo party from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the lodge hall, 371 Depot St. The cost is $5 at the door and includes lunch. There will be prizes and basket raffles.

SALES

• Mercer County Historical Society will hold a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 26 in the front yard of the MCHS headquarters, 119 S. Pitt St., Mercer, Pa. In case of inclement weather, the sale will be indoors. The books are primarily historical in nature, are duplicates of material already in the library, or do not pertain to Mercer County history. • Ohltown United Methodist Church, 2001 Ohltown Road, Austintown, across from the Meander Bridge, will hold a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available. For more information, call (330) 652-6614 or (330) 652-1596.

• St. Mary Sisterhood of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1025 N. Belle Vista, Youngstown, is sponsoring a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Food will be available.

• Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday throuh Saturday. A variety of men’s, women's and children's clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.
