Women’s league sets Golf Classic

WARREN — The Warren Junior Women’s League/GFWC is busy getting ready for its annual Golf Classic on June 6 at Candywood Golf Course, 765 Scoville North Road.

The major benefactor will be Trumbull County Children Services Board.

This year, the event will be a four-person scramble. The day will include breakfast at 7:30 a.m., 18 holes of golf and a cart beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30, hot dogs and beverages on the course and dinner.

Up a Creek Tavern & Grill of Howland will donate dinner, and Toyota Volvo and Jaguar of Warren will donate a car for the first hole-in-one on the 14th hole.

The cost is $50 per person; hole sponsorship is $100 per hole.
