Tractor-trailer hit by bullet on Ohio turnpike
CLYDE, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a tractor-trailer was hit by a bullet as it was driven along the Ohio Turnpike in the northwest part of the state.
Police say the driver thought he had blown a tire when the tractor-trailer was hit about 9 p.m. Friday. But when he stopped at a service plaza, a small-caliber bullet was found in the truck’s passenger door. Investigators don’t know what type of gun was used.
Authorities say the driver and a passenger were not injured.
The truck was traveling east near mile post 94 in Sandusky County. The driver tells investigators road rage was not involved.
