Friends get set for plant sale

YOUNGSTOWN — The Friends of Fellows Riverside Gardens will have their annual Spring Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Davis Center, 123 McKinley Ave.

Many of the annuals, perennials, heritage vegetable seedlings and fruit plants, summer bulbs, herbs, shrubs, trees and roses are unusual and not widely available.

A members-only preview will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Nonmembers may join the Friends organization at this time and enjoy the member discount.

This year there will also be two horticulture classes, container gardens on Friday and woody plants on Saturday.
